MANNA GUM PICNIC AREA

Public BBQ

Manna Gum Picnic Area functions primarily as an off-leash dog exercise space rather than a traditional picnic destination. This compact square reserve features a gravel walking track circling an open grassed area where dog owners gather for casual exercise sessions. While doggy bag dispensers and drinking fountains cater to canine visitors, the human amenities tell a story of deferred maintenance - weathered bench seats, a deteriorating gazebo, and non-functional water taps reflect the challenges of maintaining remote recreational facilities. The absence of playground equipment, working barbecues, and toilet facilities limits its appeal for family outings, though dedicated dog walkers appreciate the off-leash freedom and adequate parking. Recent antisocial behaviour and dumping issues have unfortunately detracted from what was once a pleasant community space.
